Inspired by the beauty of nature, Darren Campbell finally creates this Wahroonga House. It’s a single-family residence, which has connection with the outside environment, giving opportunity for the family to enjoy indoor and outdoor living optimally. The house in Sidney consists of two pavilions (front and rear) that are connected each other, they’re built in the center of a green yard surrounded by walls.
Wahroonga House is a project completed in 2010. The designer combines modern minimalist concept with natural world to result in a beautiful, calm and inspiring home. A blue pool with irregular design is the main attraction of the outdoor area. It’s just adjacent to the first living room, so the family can access it quickly and easily. Meanwhile, glass walls give easy access for natural light to come and fill rooms in the interior. They also pamper persons inside with breathtaking view of garden.
Not far from the pool, you can find a comfortable outdoor seating space where all family members can spend their leisure times together. There’s also an outdoor dining area to enjoy meals in casual and relaxing atmosphere. The area nicely integrates with a roofed porch, so the family can use it anytime and in any weather. Walls which surround the house’s yard are not too high, but fortunately lush green trees and shrubs can ensure privacy for each area.
Wahroonga House interior accommodates entryway, two living rooms, master suite, kitchen, dining room and certainly bedrooms. Different with the casual outdoor dining room, the indoor dining room tends to feel formal. I think it becomes a perfect space for entertaining important guests in an elegant way. Laundry spaces and balconies are other important parts of the residence. The nice balconies provide the best area to enjoy the natural surroundings. What a beautiful house!
